Brook Notary. Creator. Artistic Director

Brook, a San Francisco native credits her hippie creative parents for instilling in her that anything is possible if you “work your ass off. Just find what you love to do and stick with it no matter what.” She has found it…The PULSE Project.

Brook is a critically acclaimed choreographer, known for her revolutionary use of environmental props. She earned her MFA at the Tisch School of the Arts, where she attended on a full Dean’s scholarship. With 15 years of experience choreographing for an array of celebrities, musical artists, corporations, dance companies and educational institutions, she has proven herself as one of the most versatile  and provocative choreographers. Notable high-profile clients include Usher, Harrison Ford, and Liz Claiborne. Her work has been regaled by PBS, New York Times, and The Village Voice.

Most recently, Brook has choreographed a 20-person aerial show for Target International, an opera at Brooklyn Academy of Music with the renowned Director Robert Woodruff and performed as the lead pole dancer in the NY City Opera Production of Anna Nicole, BAM. . Her PULSE Project company received a standing ovation when it opened for the US Pole Dance Federation to a sold out audience at Symphony Space and sold out their last show called LOVE & GUTS.

Brook’s extensive background in rhythmic gymnastics, martial arts, contemporary and pole dance, motion capture, and aerial harness work gives her choreography a diverse platform of mediums that compliment one another and has fueled her multi-disciplinary approach to pole dancing which Brook prefers to call “Industrial Movement.”
